This is my final blog of the YWiC summer camp. It's a sad, sad thing. But nevertheless, it's true. YWiC this year has been the most amazing one I've been to so far. It's entirely incredible and I absolutely loved being here. I don't want to leave. I made so many wonderful friends here, and strengthened my torturous relationship with my friend Emma. Everyone around me was friendly and interested in similar things. I absolutely adored being here. The award that I got, "Most Camp Crazy", is definitely true. I utterly loved coming here and I looked forward to coming here every day. All the things I learned were amazing and I had so much fun. Looking back on everything, nearly all of my experiences here were amazing. Those that weren't were just incredible. Well, it's all a matter of opinion as to which is better.

My mind just blew up. My mom actually showed up for the presentation, and my grandma was there too!! I did NOT see that coming!!

Well back on track, YWiC is incredible. I plan on coming back again and again as much as I can. I simply, utterly, wonderfully, indefinitely, absolutely, adorably love it here.

Today was a mega-rush to get our projects done. Emma did a crazy-good job on the sewing for my Lilypad. So I decided that she was gonna be in the presentation for it. She did half, I did half. She's gonna take credit for what she did. I'm so thankful to her. We're the only ones who did a partnership for Lilypad. I can't wait to present that. My HTML came out okay. The last page is a bit of a mish-mash but everything else here took up my time so much. It's not as good as my HTML last time, but I'm still proud. The App me and Emma did is awesome!! Sure, it isn't pretty, but we both love it. I have to say I am a little worried about the presenting, but like every year, I'll be fine. I always get a little worried before presenting and turn out totally calm during. It'll be awesome. I guess we'll see how our normal presenting strategy works out today: I speak and Emma holds the project!

Let's see what happens!!! And hopefully...I lost my train of thought. Just got distracted. Oh well. Oh!! Hopefully, I'll learn the line between reckless and adventurous!!

I don't want to go back. I want to keep coming. But things must go on for others to progress. So I guess this is my last blog for this summer. Goodbye...but just for now.

If I were cursed by a witch and turned into a painting, I would be one of those abstract arts that you have no idea what it truly means, and it looks like a mash-up of fantastical fantasy items. Because that is what the inside of my head looks like.

Today I tried to sew in my electrical stuff into my Lilypad. I worked on it for about 45 seconds before Emma was like "WHAT DID YOU DO?!?!!?" and pretty much took over. I definitely owe her a few over our sewing time, because she's helped me so much during that. As mentioned before, I am completely useless at sewing and domestic activities. She was a HUGE help. I probably couldn't have made it very far without her.
Thanks to her, I got to work a little on my HTML today. She even shared her frozen yogurt with me and I didn't have to buy anything. She's super awesome. However, I think I make it up to her by being an unintentional and unwilling source of torture entertainment. I'm glad I have some sort of use. Yay.
Well there's a lot to do today and I'm late as it is so I gotta go!!!

BYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today was a fun day, full of senseless laughing. You should have seen me at lunch. So Emma created a non-existent extension called .txtx rather than a .txt file while we were doing Linux. I will tell you how that turned out later.
Also today, we worked on Lilypad this morning. So I was confused a LOT by the programming and how in the WORLD we were supposed to test the sound. But not just testing it, figuring the siund frequencies out. You see when my friend Emma looks at a page of music, she sees high notes and low notes and letters and understanding. I see squiggly and straight lines that form music in my mind. I see the beautiful music but have NO UNDERSTANDING OF IT AT ALL. It's like Japanese music. I don't understand what they're saying most of the time, but I hear the beauty.
PLUS the frequencies we were supposed to code didn't match up to the ones I had found online for my song. THEY WERE ALL A#B0 OR F2#0 IS EQUAL TO EACH OTHER AND AM ISN'T HERE BUT AM IS EQUAL TO A BUT NOT REALLY SO ONLY ONE OF THESE WEIRD 27.50 OR 29.14 FREQUENCIES IS CORRECT BUT WE WON'T LET YOU HEAR IT CUZ WHY WOULD WE DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT THAT WOULD ACTUALLY HELP YOU!!!!!!!?!?!?!?!?!?
When we did HTML after that, I felt much better. We actually combined Java with HTML today and made a riddle code. Me and Emma looked at some dragon riddles online and tried to solve them. Some we got easy, others we were smacking our heads for not thinking of them. Well, I was smacking my head....Emma was smacking me. Friendship. It's a beautiful thing.
SO with  our HTML projects, I got a lot farther in it, and I started making pairs on my music artist page. The number one utaite x vocaloid pair in the world is a no-brainer:
96NEKO AND KAGAMINE LEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I MEAN COME ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JUST LOOK AT THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU CAN TEEEEEEEELLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then we had lunch after struggling to tear ourselves away from the beautiful voices of 96Neko and Valshe. We also decided to make a list of Len songs about a certain genre because he seems to have a lot of them....yeah. A little concerning but yeah, So far we've got 14 but we BOTH KNOW there is an important one we are forgetting.
At lunch I was laughing like a maniac and erected a carrot-wall-of-Berlin against my ranch to defend my cookie army. The treacherous ranch tried to find leaks in my wall but they didn't see my secret weapon:
MORE
CARROTS.
Oh yeah.
So the cookies won but Emma messed up the victorious dive of the Oreo Wing-Commander into my mouth. She's so mean. And she was conspiring with the ranch to attack my cookies!
After lunch, we did some more HTML for a few seconds, then it was off to a freezing room for Linux. That was were me and Emma skipped ahead and finished all 3 sessions before the rest of the class finished the first one. And Emma invented, twice, the txtx extension. We looked it up. And guess what....IT ACTUALLY EXISTS!!!!!! Me and Emma apparently accidentally created an encrypted text file. The things that happen when you misspell, right? Happy acciddent? Or was it......

Also, still haven't gotten that last song. WHAT IS IT????!?!??!?!!?

If I had an animal sidekick, I would have Calcifer from Howl's Moving Castle. He technically isn't an animal, but he isn't human and he's tiny. And hilarious. Like a flame demon. But Howl uses him to power the house and cook food, which he doesn't really appreciate.

As I am typing now, I can't truly concentrate because there is a beautiful voice playing in my ear. I am focusing very hard on every single word so that I can type at all. Today we were looking more at beautiful and dangerous pictures for HTML projects. And I showed my blog to my mom and Leiah yesterday, but they didn't seem to understand just how dangerous the pictures were. I showed Leiah one...and she understood. So I will show YOU the pictures so that you may feel my PAIN!!!!!!

DO ALL OF YOU SEE THESE?!?!?!?!?!? THESE ARE MY TWO FAVORITE SINGERS!!!!!!!!!!! THE ONE ON THE BOTTOM IS MY FAVORITE, KAGAMINE LEN, AND THE ONE ON TOP IS MY SECOND FAVORITE 96NEKO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

REVEL IN THE BEAUTY PEOPLE AND FEEL MY UTTER PAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ALSO MANAGED TO DRAW AN AWESOME PICTURE OF LEN TODAY, TWICE, FOR LILYPAD AND I AM PROUD OF THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So if I could create a spell, I would name it Halharaimay Todou and it would create a huge blast of flame that would engulf the Grand Canyon if given the chance. Because it sounds cool and I yelled something similar to that once when I was dreaming that I was a wizard and I could cast spells. It was amazing.................Just like the beautiful people above. And here is a link to a song they sang together in case you are interested in why I like them so much.

PEACE OUT PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!

REVEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IT'S GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!

So today, we started a unit on something that will be thoroughly painful for me: Lilypad. There is no overall problem I have with the coding of it, but I have massive issues with the construction. You'll see why.
This morning, we did the blanket challenge. The instructors changed the challenge each time they folded the blanket so it was fun. But I knew I was roasting like a lobster the whole time. Yay. Fried ginger. Yum.
The Lilypad session came right after. And I will tell you now why I will not enjoy it:

ANY FORM OF DOMESTIC HUMAN ACTIVITY INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO COOKING, BAKING, CLEANING, SEWING, WEAVING, AND/OR RIDING A BIKE OR OTHER FORMS OF BASIC TRANSPORTATION ARE NOT THINGS THAT I CAN DO.

I CAN NOT DO THEM AT ALL.

I HAVE NO UNDERSTANDING OR COMPREHENSION OF ANY DOMESTIC HOUSEWIFE ACTIVITIES.

After that we did HTML and I was totally fine. The coding was totally easy and I even helped the teacher with her code at one point. I also LOVED looking at pictures of my favorite singer to add to it. However, it soon became a very DANGEROUS activity once we started looking at some rather attractive pictures of them....Squealing in class became a very real threat. IT'S REAL, PEOPLE!!!!!!

IT
IS
REAL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last Week

So last week I think I didn't blog because we didn't have time. So what we did on Friday was present our robots and play some Jeopardy. My team won at Jeopardy and for the robot, me and Emma used our usual presenting tactic: I speak and Emma holds the project. :)
We had a lot of fun with it and when we won Jeopardy right before presenting, I won a special bag for YWIC. Eddyann asked for the bag however, so I gave it to her at the end of the day. I don't really need another. I have one just like it at home! But one of the camp ladies gave me another bag since I was kind enough to give mine away,
KINDNESS COUNTS PEOPLE!!!!! KINDNESSS....COUNTS!!!!!

So today at YWIC we did some human knots in the morning. We were split into two groups and told to untangle ourselves....my group was not successful....but!!!!!! It's the fun that counts!!!!!!
I was also freaking out all day about finishing the EV3 robot. I'm pretty sure I was annoying my partner Emma from here to kingdom come. Telling her to "get it done!!!!" repeatedly probably isn't a helpful thing. But at least I was working on the app project and handing her parts!

A place I would like to go would be to Tokyo, Japan because most of my interests are based in Japan and in Japanese cultures. I even want to go to college in Japan at Tokyo Tech. I love most all of the things they do and I'm totally psyched about going when I graduate as a present from my dad. And if he doesn't take me...we will have issues. Oh. and I'm smuggling Emma in in my luggage.

:)
